Kay Fiedler Award
August 4, 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The Fiedler Family is now accepting nominations for the Kay Fiedler Distinguished Leaseholder Award, to be presented at Arbor Day. Please take a moment to read the below information shared by the Fiedler family about their amazing mother and consider nominating a member of this community that reflects the spirit of this award. The nomination form link here, and is due by September 7.
Thank you
Kay Fiedler Distinguished Leaseholder Award
For those of you who are new to Assembly Park or never had the chance to meet Kay Fiedler, we wanted you to know who our mom was and why the Board of Directors, at the time of her passing, decided to honor her with this award.
Kay Fiedler is part of the fabric of Assembly Park and loved being here with all her heart. She started coming to the lake when she was a young girl with her mother and grandmother. They owned a cottage near Kelly Park for several years, unfortunately had to sell, but this didn’t stop Kay from dreaming of owning another cottage someday.
While they were raising their young family, Ray and Kay rented one of the Hilltop cottages for a week in August each year. Finally, in 1966, while Kay was pregnant with their sixth child, they were able to purchase their own cottage, Shady Oaks.
Some words used to describe Kay Fiedler are kind, loving, fun, genuine, accepting, generous, no nonsense, hardworking. She welcomed everyone into her home where many of you have
had coffee or a drink, shared a meal and played dominos. Kay had life long friendships here but was also a friend to so many, both young and old.
Kay Fiedler dedicated her life to helping others. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed participating in all the activities in the park and especially loved Arbor Day. She was a woman of great integrity and a role model not only for family but for the entire community.
Through her daily actions she taught us to respect one another, peacefully work through differences and take the high road.
Yes, this award honors the memory of our mom but it also helps us remember who we are as a community and encourages us to recognize goodness in others.
I think we all know someone who loves this community as much as our mom did. Perhaps someone who has made a significant difference in their own quiet way or someone who is not a
lifetime member but has made a difference to you.
We encourage each of you to nominate someone who you think shares some of the characteristics of Kay Fiedler.

DLA - July 4th Weekend
June 26, 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It was great to see so many of you at our Annual Meeting! And it has been wonderful to see the Park so full of life and excitement! Summer is here and we are glad that you are back!
This is a special July, as our country celebrates the 250th Birthday and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Besides the traditional fireworks over the lake (always the Saturday before the 4th of July - this year June 27th) there are many other wonderful events here in the Park and throughout the area to enjoy. Many thanks to our webmaster Jerry Brandsfield for keeping our website up to date with these events - make sure you check them out!
Here in the Park, the 4th of July will be a wonderful celebration, thanks to the leadership and support of the Auxiliary and countless others. Here is a quick rundown of the events:
July 3
6:00 Kids Dance
July 4
10:00 Mass at the Park - Fr. Shay
11:30 Golf Cart and Bike Parade - Meet at Assembly Hall
12:00 National Anthem
12:10 Bike Parade
12:30 Golf Cart Parade
2:00 Music at the Gazebo - Featuring Jeff and Kurt
With all the excitement and activity coming up in Assembly Park, there are some important reminders for all of us, and for you to share with your friends and guests:
Fireworks - Fireworks are never permitted in the Park - from those that go boom to sparkles, snakes, etc. Anything combustible is prohibited. The fine for using fireworks within the Park grounds is 2 times the annual assessment - $2700. Leaseholders are responsible for their guests and family members, and the fine is assessed to the individual household. Please help keep our community members and properties safe! Thanks!
10 mph! - Ten miles per hour - this is for golf carts, cars, trucks, and anyone driving a motorized vehicle of any kind in Assembly Park! And stop signs are placed for a purpose, not a suggestion! With so many small children in the Park, we need to make sure they and all community members are safe. Please make sure you advise your friends and guests of this policy and that we all do our best to adhere to this for the safety of all. We have added some new trial “speed humps” in the areas that seem to be most troublesome, and our safety committee will be reviewing these for effectiveness and additional placements, as needed. These measures should help, but the best solution is that we all do our best at all times. Slow down and enjoy the ride!
Parking - Parking for guests is limited to your personal property, Assembly Lane, and the empty lot nearest to the upper entrance to the Park (holiday weekends only and weather permitting). Vehicles on personal property should be completely on the property and not blocking the streets. Vehicles on Assembly Lane should not block driveways of the homes along the street and should be at least 10 feet away from the intersections for safe travels throughout the Park. Thanks!
Golf Carts - In addition to maintaining 10 mph, please remember that:
Golf carts should only be driven on the streets, beach path, and along the shoreline to individual piers. For special events in the Park, they are allowed to park on the west side of the beach path - entering from the beach path. At no time should they be driven through the parks by the playgrounds and pickleball/basketball courts.
Carts should only be driven by a licensed driver.
Passenger load should not exceed the number of available seats.
Only registered golf carts are allowed in Assembly Park.
Election Results - Many thanks to all who have already voted in the election, and many thanks to our candidates who have volunteered to serve our community! If you have not voted yet, please remember that the election closes on June 27th at 5:00 pm, and the votes will be tabulated and announced the following day. If you have not yet voted, please do so today.
Again, my thanks to all of you who make Assembly Park the special place that it is! Enjoy your time with family and friends this summer in the Park, and Happy 250th to the USA!
Sincerely,
The DLA Board of Directors

May 18, 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Welcome back to Assembly Park! Summer 2026 officially kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend with the Auxiliary's Pier Plunge at noon on Saturday May 23! Whether you are jumping in the lake, as I have been told to do so many times, or simply there to watch the splash, please join us for this summer opener - and stay for some walking Tacos and other refreshments for sale! It will be great to see everyone there!
With this official start of our busy season, I would like to highlight some items for your attention:
Memorial Day Weekend Fun:
Saturday at noon - Pier Plunge with walking tacos and beverages for sale! Come Jump in the Lake
Sunday at 9:00 am - Start your day off right with Nadine Bahaveolus for Yoga in the Park
Golf Cart Safety:
This weekend we expect our parks to be filled with younger members of our community. Please do all that you can to keep them safe! Remember, only licensed drivers can drive golf carts! Please adhere to all stop signs and the 10 MPH speed limit. Golf carts are permitted on the designated roadways, beach path, and by individual piers. Golf carts are not allowed to drive through the Parks, park near playgrounds and the courts. Please keep all community members safe!
Spring Clean-up:
Yard waste will still be collected. Please place it in bags, cans, or piles at the edge of your property. Please do not place loose piles in the streets. Garbage pick-up continues as normal. All items must be placed in cans at the edge of the drive, and collection continues on Mondays, delayed a day on holidays. If you have large items to be picked up, please contact GFL 800-248-2373. Do not use the dumpsters at the various construction sites in the Park or by the Hall.
Construction:
The Park has been busy, with several new homes being built, and many projects, from roofs to windows ongoing. We will continue to work with the various contractors to make sure they are keeping their areas safe and clean. For your safety, do not enter any of these work sites as there may be exposed floors, unsafe areas, construction tools, and other items that could be dangerous - especially to our younger members. Thank you!
Street Cleaning:
With the spring rain and winds, our streets are ready for a good cleaning! Street sweeping is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 to clean up all the debris. Cars may not be parked on the street on Tuesday so the streets can be properly cleaned. A reminder text will be sent out on Tuesday with updates and confirmation of the date.
Looking Ahead - Elections
Our Annual Meeting is quickly approaching, Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 am. The meeting will be both live and online, allowing all to participate in this annual tradition that features updates from the past year, the budget presentation, and other news items. This will be the last meeting in the current hall, and updates regarding the new hall will also be shared.
One key feature of the meeting is the presentation of candidates for the Board. This year we have three Board members whose 3 year term is up, with at least one indicating they have concluded their service. Link to the nomination form.
That’s all for now! I am looking forward to seeing you back at Assembly Park!
Take Care,

DLA - Summary of Lake Survey - Town Meeting May 9
April 24, 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Last summer, a group of concerned area residents, the Delavan Lake Survey Team, coordinated a survey that was sent out to all Lake Delavan area communities. They will be presenting their findings to the Town of Delavan on May 9th.
Please see the communication below for more details regarding the meeting. Also attached is a copy of their survey results.
DLA Board of Directors
Greg Selep
Dear Delavan Lake Community Member,
Thank you again for taking the time to participate in last summer’s Delavan Lake Citizen Survey. Your input helped capture the collective voice of our lake community and highlight key areas of concern and opportunity.
We are pleased to share that the survey results (click here to see the results) will be formally presented to the Town of Delavan on:
Saturday, May 9th
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
WatersEdge - 1220 S. Shore Drive, Delavan, WI
We understand that this is the day before Mother's Day! The town indicated that there should be a Zoom meeting (video/phone option) for those who cannot attend in person. More details forthcoming!
The purpose of the survey was to gather unbiased feedback from stakeholders—including property owners, visitors, and community members—regarding the sustainment and improvement of Delavan Lake. We shared the insights directly with the Town to encourage and inform actions that address community priorities.
As reflected in the results, strong themes emerged around water quality, boating safety, communication, and long-term lake management—areas where your feedback can help shape meaningful discussion and potential next steps.
We encourage you to attend this presentation if you are available. Your continued engagement is vital as we work toward preserving and improving Delavan Lake for everyone. The meeting is being hosted by the town board, and their formal announcement should be happening soon.
Thank you again for your participation and support.
Warm regards,
Delavan Lake Citizen Survey Team

It’s the site of their annual family reunions attended by her aunt and uncle, Debbie and Jay DuBois, and many generations of cousins.

Please keep Megan and her family in your prayers.

We send our deepest sympathies to Kate and their sons Brayden and Ryder.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family. Here is the link.
Obituary for Wayland E. Vacek
Wayland E. Vacek, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Libertyville, IL. He was born April 28, 1977 in Omaha, NE and had been a longtime resident of Libertyville. Sometimes the strongest men leave the biggest holes in our hearts. The sudden loss of Wayland has left his beloved wife Kate and their boys Brayden and Ryder facing an unimaginable future without the husband and father who was the center of their world. Our hearts are broken by the sudden and unexpected loss of Wayland, a beloved husband, devoted father, loyal friend, and truly remarkable man.
Wayland had a presence that made everyone feel welcome. With his warm smile, gentle spirit, and larger than life kindness, no one was ever a stranger to him. He was the kind of person who showed up for others, always ready with encouragement, laughter, and genuine care. A proud former Bearcat football player, Wayland treasured the lifelong friendships he built with his football brothers. The bond, camaraderie, and loyalty he learned on the field carried through every part of his life. But above all, Wayland was deeply devoted to his wife and family. He loved cheering on his boys, supporting them in everything they did, and being present for every moment that mattered. His pride in them was unmistakable, and his love for Kate, Brayden, and Ryder were the center of his world. His passing is devastating and completely unexpected, leaving his family and everyone who knew him heartbroken.
Surviving is his wife, Kathleen “Kate” Mariani Vacek; 2 sons, Brayden & Ryder; father, Joseph Parizek; father & mother in-law, John & Marie Mariani; brothers, Thomas (Lisa) & Donn (Lisa) Vacek and by sister-in-law, Meghan (Matt) Potempa; brother-in-law, Andrew (Kate) Mariani; nephews and niece; Dominic and Benjamin Mariani, Olive and Ozzie Potempa As well as many extended family members and friends who love him dearly.
He was preceded in death by Barbara Vacek; maternal grandparents, Edward & Shirley “Red” Vacek and by a brother, Edward Vacek.

DLA Construction Site Safety
March 5, 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
With the weather warming up and more people coming back to Assembly Park, we would like to remind everyone that access to any of the construction sites in Assembly Park is strictly prohibited. Due to safety, liability, and insurance concerns, access to any construction sites is limited to authorized personnel only.
There is no reason for anyone to walk into a house under construction or the surrounding work site. Please talk to your kids who may be tempted to "go exploring" in one of these houses and explain to them how dangerous that can be. We don't want to see anyone's summer ruined by getting hurt needlessly.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and look forward to seeing everyone soon.
Thank you,
The DLA Board of Directors

Friends
These messages are never easy to write, but this one is especially difficult. It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the passing of our good friend, neighbor, and past board member Phil Skrypek. Phil left a lasting impression on Assembly Park.
Phillip A. Skrypek Obituary
Phillip A. Skrypek, passed away peacefully February 6.
Beloved husband of the late Joan M., nee Ness; loving father of Kathryn, Richard (Karen), Joseph (Eileen), Michael (Jacqueline), Patricia Diaz, Christina (Paul) McCarthy, Karen (Richard) Asiyanbi, Diana (Scott) Bieniasz, and Timothy (Tiffany); adored grandfather of Alexandra (Ronald), Daniel (Amanda), Juan (Victoria), Sarah, Phelipe, Joshua, Max, Stephanie, the late David, Dylan, Sean, Noelle, Katelyn, Kallen, Tyler, Emily, and Nicholas; Caring great grandfather of Madalyn and Jonah; cherished brother of the late Eleanora (late Marshall) Edinger and the late Mary Jean and brother in law of Beverly Downs; fond uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Phil will be remembered as a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and "Dad" to many. Phil gave his whole heart to everything he loved. He retired from Superior Industrial Supply where he was known for his steady judgment, quick wit, and loyalty to the people he worked with. In Delavan, WI he served on the Assembly Park board helping to build a family-safe summer vacation paradise. He found joy working the soil as an avid gardener, nurturing life with the same patience and care he showed to those around him, sharing the plants and vegetables he grew. Family and friends knew him as a delightfully ruthless Monopoly opponent, a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan who never stopped believing, and a gifted singer who couldn’t resist sharing a tune. At Lexington Square, where he served as a beloved ambassador, Phil greeted everyone, each day, with an exuberant “Good morning!” and a song, lifting the spirits of everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
Funeral Friday, February 13, 9:30 a.m., from the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, (Link) 6150 N. Cicero Ave., to St. Mary of the Woods Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, February 12 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. For info, 773-736-3833.

DLA - Assembly Hall - New Construction Approval 2026 - Final Reminder
February 6, 2026
Fellow Leaseholders
Your vote is important.
Today a reminder email was sent to you because we have not yet received your electronic vote.
Please look for an email from: kkempaccounting@yahoo.com. Remember that electronic voting is open until 5pm ct. on February 13.
Below is an endorsement letter from Michael Connolly:
Gentlemen,
Thank you again for taking the time to speak with me Wednesday evening. I brought forward two questions from Leaseholders about the Hall Project, and I appreciate the clarification that a preliminary payment of approximately $1,000 remains a possibility. Katie expressed that clearly, and I’m glad we were able to get that on the record.
Regarding the second point, I understand your position that delaying the project to gather additional support would not outweigh the increased costs, and that moving forward now is what you believe best serves the community. While some Leaseholders had hoped for more discussion, I respect the decision and the intent behind it.
I voted YES today and will continue to share, with anyone who asks, that this is a strong and worthwhile plan for a new Hall. My hope is that this third effort brings the success the community has been working toward.
I appreciate the work you, the Board & the Hall Committee put into this project. Going forward, I’ll direct any Leaseholder questions or concerns your way so communication remains clear and consistent.
Regards,
Michael

DLA - The passing of Ronald Randl
January 21, 2026
Friends,
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Ronald Randl.
Ron was a long time member of Assembly Park and the father of Kate Nangle. Like so many others, he enjoyed spending the summer months in the park, and on the lake.
Ronald J. Randl
Ronald Joseph “Ron” Randl, age 84 of West Dundee passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, on January 30, 1941 and was the son of the late Joseph and Anita Randl.
Ron attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and graduated from Columbia College in Chicago. On August 3, 1963 Ron married Judith M. “Judy” Randl. Ron was a resident of West Dundee for fifty years and was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. He had a long career in television production and advertising in the Chicago area and kept active in semi-retirement at Bonnie Dundee Golf Club and Target where colleagues quickly became friends. Ron took great interest in the activities of his children and grandchildren and was an avid fan of any team that they played on. He was curious and open to new experiences, traveling throughout the United States and taking more distant trips to Ireland, Italy, France, Ecuador, and Thailand. Ron enjoyed summer days at the cottage at Lake Delavan attending live concerts, exploring historic architecture, and playing games of bunko and bingo with his friends at the Dundee Activities Center. He was a dedicated supporter and advocate for those with special needs. Ron will be remembered and deeply missed for his warmth, his accepting and tolerant nature, and his quiet generosity.
Survivors include his children with Judy: Mark (Ronda), Chad (Melissa), Kate (William) Nangle, and Jason (Jamie) Randl. Ron is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, his sibling, Karen (Dave) Krosnicki, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ron was preceded in death by Judy, their daughter, Michelle L. “Missy” Randl, his brother, Wayne (Shirley) Randl, and Charlie Nesel, for whom he served as a guardian.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Father John McNamara, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, and again on January 26 at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. DLA - The Passing of Bob Fritsch
January 11, 2026
Assembly Park Family,
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bob Fritsch, who died peacefully on January 6th, 2026 at the age of 84 at his home in Florida, in the loving arms of his wife, Sharyl Kennedy.
Bob was a teacher in the truest sense of the word, a calling that shaped every part of his life. He was the first teacher and a founding presence at Horizon Academy, a school for children with learning disabilities in Roeland Park, Kansas. Bob’s greatest joy was helping students who struggled to grow, gain confidence, and find their place in the world.
At Assembly Park, Bob found a different but equally meaningful classroom. He loved sitting on the back deck, enjoying long conversations and easy laughter with neighbors. Many in the community were also touched by his craftsmanship—Bob took great pride in blacksmithing iron pieces and creating handmade wooden crosses, which he generously shared with friends as gifts of faith, care, and connection.
Bob faced his final chapter with dignity, grace, and even joy, continuing to teach by example until the very end. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered fondly for his kindness, curiosity, creativity, and unwavering belief in others.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Bob’s lifelong love of education are invited to make a donation in his memory to Horizon Academy at:

The most recent, the Golf Cart Poker Run was a huge success. Thanks to Cheryl and Scott Kolinski for organizing, thank you to all the houses that hosted our Tastings Around The World.
The Croucher Family organized a "Movie in the Hall" on Saturday, complete with concessions. Great Job Crouchers!
We still don’t have a Team to host the pancake breakfast on Labor Day, Sunday, September 1. If you are interested please contact the Auxiliary ASAP for details and notes.
Arbor Day is Coming Soon!

Kids and Adult games, photo booth, bounce houses, kids CakeWalk, pony rides, raffles, food, beer wagon, CASH Raffle, Bingo, Music and a DJ for dancing into the night! This event requires lots of volunteers. Sign up sheets are available in the Mail Room.
We will also be holding for the first time, a Pickle Ball Tournament We are looking for someone to oversee the tournament. The cost is $20 per team. It will be limited to 16 teams. Raffle prize, request letters have gone out, thanks to Honey Badger. If you are frequenting any of our local establishments, and would like to take a request letter with you, please let us know. Raffle prize donations are always appreciated. This year instead of the wine pull, we are having an adult "cakewalk" type event, however, we will be having beer, wine and liquor as prizes instead of desserts.
Time to clean out those liquor cabinets and leftover beer fridge beverages! We will also be "filling the cooler" as a raffle prize. This prize had the most tickets in it last year and rumor has it, the winners were “dingdong ditching “ some cottages, with some of the "unique" liquor at the end of the night. (Raffle Prizes and liquor donations can be dropped off at the LaMarre's-Van's Villa on Pottawattomi, on or after Labor Day)
Father Watts will be holding mass in the gazebo at 5 o’clock on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 1. (Updated)

We have also created a short video that overlays views of the current Hall with views of the proposed Hall: https://youtu.be/LWI2E-GrNn0

DLA - Park Update and Other News
June 24, 2024
Friends:
Well, mother nature has not been our friend. Saturday evening, we were hit by a significant storm. We lost power in the Park and several homes had roof damage caused by falling trees and one home had their power line taken down. Thank you to the neighbors who picked up branches and debris in the Parks. Clean up will continue this week. Unfortunately, another storm is predicted tonight and tomorrow. We will do our best to have the park ready for the July 4th weekend.
A house with a porch and trees Description automatically generated
Because of the rain and wet conditions our two spring projects have been delayed.
Basketball / Pickleball: On Friday the county approved the start of work on the new basketball and pickleball courts. The plan (weather permitting) is to demolish the old courts on Tuesday and put new asphalt down on Wednesday and Thursday. We will need to wait 30 days for the asphalt to cure before we can line the courts.
Kelly and Hilltop Parks: The project the landscaping company had in que ahead of us is not yet complete due to the weather. We are working with them to schedule new dates.
Beach: As part of our ongoing maintenance of the beach we have completed the weeding, and patched and installed the trampoline. Unfortunately, the trampoline is still deflating and may have to be removed to be patched again.
No Fireworks:
Please remember we have a zero tolerance for fireworks of any kind in Assembly Park: As we approach the July 4th holiday, we want to remind everyone fireworks are strictly prohibited in the Park. Please note that, in addition to the more obvious fireworks, this ban includes seemingly harmless sparklers, snakes and smoke bombs. The fine for violating the no fireworks rule is 2x the annual assessment ($2600) and there will be no warnings issued. You will be fined. If you have guests or renters using your property, please make sure they are aware of all the rules and regulations. Any penalty will be assessed to the leaseholder. Please help us keep the Park safe.
No Construction period: We are entering the No Construction Period in the Park. From July 1st through Labor Day no construction or remodeling of any structure or dwelling is allowed except for approved emergency repairs or minor repairs to piers. No hammering, drilling, sawing, or loud construction noise of any kind is allowed. (except for normal mowing of lawns, power washing, general maintenance, and approved emergency repairs).
Upcoming Events:

DLA - Parks Update - Happy Memorial Day Weekend
May 23, 2024
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As we approach Memorial Day weekend, we wanted to provide you with a few updates about our wonderful Parks and Beach at Assembly Park.
Rob is hard at work completing the installation of the new Beach Piers that he constructed over the winter. These new piers not only address the safety issues the older ones were presenting, but also provide more space on the decks for sunbathers and swimmers. Additionally, these were constructed under budget, and at an incredible cost reduction had we utilized outside contractors. We are so fortunate for Rob's skills and talents! The new piers will debut this weekend on Saturday at 11:00 with the Auxiliary's Ribbon Cutting and Pier Plunge event. Please come down to see the new piers - and bring a swimsuit!
Our Parks have also benefited from the support of our community members, with key pieces of equipment being restored. The Ingoffo's have replaced the wood and repainted our merry-go-rounds, the Hampson's repainted our giraffe, the Huntsman’s cleaned up Shakespeare Park and repainted the rocket and teeter totter, and the LaMarre’s added decorative signage to the new recycle bins! Many thanks to them and to all of the families who are giving their time and talents to help spruce up our parks!
Last year we did a major refresh to the Big Park, cleaning up all areas around the equipment and adding new sand and safety features. As shared at our last Board meeting, our hope is to be able to do the same with Kelly and Hilltop Park this season, and Shakespeare the next year, with a cycle of maintenance and refresh ongoing to prevent the need for such major renovation in the future.
In preparation for our annual meeting, we have been working on our 2024-2025 budget. As part of that process, we have done a complete account balance review with our accountant as well as an analysis of our maintenance budgets with our caretaker.
Since our current major project, the beach piers, has been completed under budget we are able to fund the renovation project for Kelly and Hilltop parks without using our accrual funds. As discussed, and approved in our May meeting, we will be reaching out to C&D Landscaping to schedule this work. We hope to start and complete the work in early June. C&D is the vendor who did the work last year in the Big Park.
Additionally, our Basketball/Pickleball project is moving forward, thanks to the support of donors and the Auxiliary. Due to the recent heavy rains, the construction was delayed slightly to prevent damage to our parks by the heavy equipment. The work is now planned to begin the first week of June, and our target date of an early July grand opening seems on track. When completed, we will have two new pickleball courts and a smaller basketball court in our Big Park for all to enjoy!
We are excited to see families and friends back up in the Parks! Between the Pier Plunge and Sunday's Spaghetti Dinner, we anticipate a large crowd in Assembly Park! As always, please exercise great caution while driving, whether it be in a golf cart or car. We want this to be a fun - but safe - weekend!
We are looking forward to another great summer in the Park and continued improved play areas for our children!

DLA - Winter Project Update
March 7, 2024
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Although it is only early March, flowers are starting to peak their heads out in Assembly Park, assuring us that summer is not far away! Get ready for the 126th summer of the Delavan Lake Assembly!
While the Park has been quiet this winter, there has been a lot of activity that we wanted to share with you. At our February meeting, the Assembly Hall committee presented to the Board their recommendations for an architect to develop initial plans for a potential new Assembly Hall. ALA Architects were recommended and contracted for this exciting task! Since then, the leadership of the Assembly Park Hall committee, working closely with our Auxiliary, has developed a comprehensive initial list of the needs, wants, and hopes for our new hall. This list will provide a framework for our initial discussions with our architect in early April, our next step to imagining a new hall for Assembly Park.
This mild winter has provided Rob with the gift of additional time to concentrate his efforts on the creation of new piers for our beachfront. Rob is well ahead of schedule, and we plan to have the new and improved piers installed this spring! We are so fortunate to have Rob’s talents, and thankful that we will have new, safer piers to enjoy this summer, crafted by Rob at a great savings to our community.
Thanks to a generous gift from the fundraising efforts of our Auxiliary, we continue along with our plan to convert the old blacktop play court in the Big Park into two new half-court basketball courts and two pickleball courts. We continue to work with vendors to secure the needed equipment and construction to make this a reality, and with the support of some additional donors, we hope to complete the project this summer!
We look forward to seeing you online this April 3 at 7:30 for the start of our regularly scheduled monthly meetings, and in the near future, back at Assembly Park! Our thanks to all that have been working so hard for our community during the Winter and thanks in advance to all that will volunteer to serve our community this summer through various activities and events!
Welcome to the 126th season of the Delavan Lake Assembly and welcome home!

Tom Fiedler – Request made at the annual meeting for a list of projects that resulted in tree removal.
ο»Ώ10/17/2023
During the annual meeting I requested a list of projects that resulted in the removal of trees over the past several years. This would include new homes, remodels driveway extensions, or any other project resulting in trees being removed.
I have yet to receive that information.
Please advise.
Tom Fiedler
Good morning.
I have yet to hear back on the below request and would like to clarify. I’m not seeking this information directly for myself, but a status report to be published to the assembly. Please let me know if this will be added to the agenda.
Tom
We do not keep a list of trees that have been removed. Is there a reason you need a list?
Greg
Good morning. I have tried to go back to the annual meeting minutes and audio file to clarify my request. Unfortunately, it appears that the audio portion is not available. Would someone please send me the link to the audio portion of the meeting?
Once I have that, I will send the board my response to your inquiry.
Tom
Greg, in response to your comment "We do not keep a list of trees that have been removed. Is there a reason you need a list?", I offer the following. At or around the 1:22:02 mark John makes mention that not only does Jim keep record of the trees being removed as part of a project but Rob also keeps track of trees.
Can I please get a list of trees that have been removed due to construction, remodel, sickness, driveway improvements, etc?
10/24/2023
Dear Mr. Fiedler,
Thank you for reaching out with your request regarding a list of trees that have been removed from the park due to construction, illness, etc. In your letter, you stated that you had requested this information at the annual meeting. From the transcripts, your question reads as follows:
“Who is keeping track of when construction is done who is keeping track of the trees being planted? The replacement of those trees” “Who is keeping track of the trees that were cut down for construction, illness, whatever?”
My response was “with construction this is part of what Jim tracks working with each one. Also Rob works with us when trees go down in the Parks they are replaced. For each of those trees that have gone down because of storms it’s almost a one for one replacement. Jim is checking with each construction when they are removing on the site either assess to have another one placed in the park or back in the ground”
Our monthly minutes reflect all approved construction in the park. When the project will result in a tree(s) being removed, it is noted in the minutes and, if the tree(s) cannot be replaced on the property (in accordance with the DLA Rules), the leaseholder is assessed according to the DLA Rules, and the funds used to place a new tree in the park.
When a tree on a leaseholder’s property is removed due to illness, it is traditionally verified by Rob and Ginner tree services, approved by the Board, and is removed. The DLA Rules do not require the leaseholder to replace the tree. If a healthy tree is removed by a leaseholder, it must be approved by the Board, and the leaseholder assessed, as per the DLA Rules.
Trees lost in the park due to illness and storm damage are reported to the Board by Rob and accounted for in his caretaker’s report. The minutes reflect the number of trees replaced due these occurrences.
When Greg initially responded to you regarding your request, asking the reason for this concern, there was no response. If there is an issue or concern that needs to be addressed, I would appreciate a response. Additionally, we are still awaiting feedback or a response from you regarding our response to your two previous inquiries specific to the roads and Assembly Hall’s readiness for the annual meeting. While I appreciate your engagement and outreach, it seems that these communications seems to be more centered on finding fault other than finding solutions.
As I have expressed before, I would be more than willing to have a more in depth conversation with you to best understand your concerns, and explore how we can best move forward together to best serve all leaseholders in Assembly Park. Please let me know if you would like to meet, either by phone or in person. I welcome the opportunity to visit.
Sincerely,
John A. Glimco

Dotti Bruno – Board Meeting Minutes 10/18/2024
Hello Board of Directors:
Just to make you aware, I was recently on the Assembly Park website to review some audio minutes and noticed that there were no audio minutes that I could access for our Annual Meeting in June. Please advise, as I maybe doing something wrong in trying to retrieve this information.
Taking this into account, I cannot go without letting you know how very disappointed I am regarding the Board of Directors' decision to NOT have written minutes of the Annual Meeting or any regular Board Meetings. I strongly feel that as leaseholders, we are entitled to written documentation, not just audio reports, of these meetings.
It is an important function of the Board to keep us properly informed. Under this new change, I don't feel this is properly being done, and lacks the transparency the Board has always claimed to represent. Yes, I understand the importance and benefits of technology, but I don't feel that audio reports ONLY are effectively doing the job of keeping us informed. I know I am not alone on this issue, and I hope you will reconsider issuing written minutes for future meetings. Not only is this important now, but for posterity.
Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
10/18/2024
Dotti
The link to the audio file was broken. I contacted Jerry and it is now fixed. Just so I am clear. You feel a written summary of the meeting is more transparent than the actual recording with a guide to where in the transcript the discussion is located?
Regards
Greg Selep
Greg,
Thank you for your timely response, I would like, however, a little more of a response on my request for a written summary of the meeting notes.
I understand that perhaps half of our Assembly Park leaseholders prefer to use electronic communication, and I am not opposed too that. The other half of the leaseholders regret that long-term traditions are being cast aside. How about a compromise? Maybe you will do both, i.e. an audio file and a one page written summary and post both on the website?
Thank you for your consideration.
Dottie Bruno
Dottie
I will add you to the correspondence for the April (February) Board Meeting and we will discuss. You are also welcome to submit a speaker request. I too would have liked a little more of a response to my request on why you think a written summary of the meeting is more transparent than the actual recording with a guide to where in the transcript the discussion is located. But we can discuss that in April.
Greg Selep
First, I still do not understand how posting the actual meeting can be viewed as anything but 100% transparent. As for the request for a “one-page written summary” We are already providing a written summary document produced from the agenda. It contains a list of any correspondence, speaker request, construction request as well as all the committee reports, and any vote taken as well as a time stamp as to where the agenda item discussion occurred in the audio file. So, Dotti please review that document and provide specifically what you think is missing. As to the “the importance of posterity” the previous board took up to 3 weeks to post meeting minutes and they would only be available on the website until the next meeting minutes were submitted. So, if a leaseholder wanted to review a past meeting, whether a monthly or annual meeting it was their responsibility to download the meeting minutes and store them. This board is posting the audio meeting minutes within a couple of days of the meeting. We have also created an archive of all the meeting minutes and guides. So, they are available for prosperity. I am happy to do something that has a benefit, but I think you are confusing transparency with nostalgia.
Dotti if you can explain why, you think posting the actual meeting is not transparent? Why does the current summary document not meet your expectations? What changes do you want to that document and what benefits the changes would provide I am happy to discuss making those changes.
Mary O’Connor
I just received a bill from Niewenheus for $65 for a special garbage pick. furniture and things. However, I see people just leaving their large items at the dump on Assembly Lane. I am guessing that is paid by the HOA, not the leaseholder. Is that something I should do going forward to avoid a bill? It really doesn't seem fair to everyone when some just leave large items at the dump. Or stuff their large items in the oversized bins.
Dear Mary,
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving celebration!
Thank you for reaching out to us with this question regarding trash collection.. And thank you for correctly following the required practices for the disposal of large items.
The community dumpsters continue to be for disposal of regular household garbage, not large furniture items or construction materials. We send out reminders twice annually regarding this, generally early in the Spring as individuals are preparing to open up their cabins, and again in the fall when we transition from home trash collection. Individuals caught dumping large household items in the bins on Assembly Lane are charged for the collection, and at times, fined.
Rob does a wonderful job of watching out for those who might not be aware of this policy, yet he cannot monitor the bins at all times, nor should he be expected to. Our community seems to be following these guidelines quite well, with Rob reporting there have been very few violations.
Have a wonderful holiday season!

Dear Friends,
Happy New Year! It looks like winter is finally coming to Assembly Park, with a few rounds of snow this week! For our Sunbirds, you don’t know the fun you're missing! Yet the Park looks wonderful, and thanks to Rob, safe to visit and try sledding in Winter’s Park.
This is just a quick reminder that we will have a Regular Meeting of the Assembly Park Board on Wednesday, February 7 at 7:00 pm Central. There are several items to address, from construction projects requiring approval, to an update from our Assembly Park Hall Committee. With the advantage of online meetings, we are no longer dependent on scheduling meetings “when the water is on” in the park, and we can also avoid an overcrowded agenda in April. Plus, it would be great to see you all! A full agenda will be forthcoming in advance of the meeting, with a ZOOM link. Speakers and construction requests should be forwarded in advance, following normal guidelines.
We look forward to seeing you on February 7 or sooner up at the Park! Take care, and again, Happy New Year!

DLA February Board Meeting
January 11, 2024
The Assembly Park Board of Directors
DLA - On Behalf of the Assembly Hall Committee
October 25, 2023
Fellow Leaseholders and Friends,
As discussed in the October Monthly Board Meeting the Assembly Hall Committee has been working on two documents that they would now like your feedback on.
The first document is the Assembly Hall Process Steps (Link). This document lays out the steps that will lead to a final decision on how to proceed with the Hall and is designed to involve the community in the decision-making process. Currently, there are three special meetings and leaseholder votes built into the process. Please note that the Scope / Requirements are general and not final. Also, since we are so early in the process this document is not meant to be a “timeline” and some of the steps will be worked on concurrently.
The second document is the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) (Link) for the selection of the architect. Both documents will be sent to solicit responses from our list of architects and help lead us to the selection of the architect that best fits our needs. The Project Parameters describes our request to review both a pre-fab / pre-engineered as well as a typical frame built building and the Components of RFP describes our expectations as to what the RFP response will include.
Please review both documents and send any feedback to gselep618@comcast.net to be distributed to the Assembly Hall Committee. Please send your feedback no later than November 8, 2023.
Thank You
Kathleen Fiedler and James Ignoffo

Meeting notes from Auxiliary Kick off Meeting 5/6/23
The meeting was called to order at 10:03 by Joan
Pledge of allegiance
Jessica and Joan asked for volunteers or nominations for the four positions on the auxiliary board. Jeannie LaMarre nominated Jessica Gray, Jessica agreed to take over as president.
Allison Croucher was nominated as vice president, Jeannie LaMarre, as secretary, and Kathleen Fiedler as treasurer. All on the call were in favor. No one else was nominated for volunteered.
Jessica made a motion to approve last year‘s minutes, Joan seconded, and the minutes were approved
New business:
The park events for this year were listed and a budget was requested for each event.
Karen Kelly gave notes from the apparel sold last year, there are a few items remaining, we will sell them this year at cost
Jessica requested a $6000 budget for this year’s apparel, Jeannie LaMarre was taking orders for the apparel instead of purchasing apparel ahead of time. There are currently over 200 shirts ordered.
Karen Kelly suggested that new lease holders get a ball cap instead of the blankets that have been given in the past.
There are three new lease holders at this time.
Jessica requested a budget of $750 for two ADA approved swings for the park. Location/best fit, will be decided by Rob.
A discussion was held about frisbee golf holes as a fundraiser, a $6000 budget was requested, the conversation was tabled until it is decided where the fundraising for this year’s events will be dedicated.
Sheila said she would spearhead fundraising for resurfacing or rebuilding the basketball court, she has information about costs and will get that information to the board.
A $500 budget was requested for Elvis on the July 22 boat regatta day, Arlene Frank said that would be a fundraiser, five dollar request for song, and hopefully cover the cost so we won’t need the $500.
$150 budget was requested for a Father’s Day smoker event, Allison Croucher will spearhead that event.
$150 request was made for the wine tasting event at the annual meeting in June. Jane McGrath will provide the wine.
$1500 request was made for the boat regatta/Cheeseburger In Paradise event on July 22. This was a moneymaker last year, and is anticipated to raise over $2000 this year.
A $1500 gift for Rob was agreed on.
This year it is the board's turn to pay for the sand at the beach, the auxiliary will pay for it in 2024.
Looking for someone to head up the children’s dances on Friday nights, a $350 budget was suggested, Evelyn Basken is one of the kids we will reach out to see if she would want to take over running the dances.
$1500 budget was requested for the spaghetti dinner, with an $800 start up. We need at least 25 volunteers to run this event. Arlene Frank and Kathy O'brien are sharing that event. Memorial Day Sunday. Tim Mcdermott is going to supply and cook the pasta.
A $1000 budget was requested for the pancake breakfast at Labor Day, we will need a chair person to spearhead that event. Greg suggested that we look into getting a cook to come and do the pancakes so we don’t need so much manpower from our Park families.
An $8000 budget was requested for Arbor Day.
Greg is going to talk to the golf course in reserve the Friday of Arbor Day weekend for a golf outing. There will be a pig roast that evening, we need to check with Tim to see what kind of budget he needs for that.
$125 budget was requested for PosterBoard and other items for the 125th celebration.
Greg passed along a suggestion to have donuts and coffee on Saturday mornings.
A kids craft time at the hall on a couple Saturday mornings was also suggested. Mae is going to look into a teacher that might want to come and lead that event.
Meeting with adjourned at 10:53. The members thanked Joan for her pest service on the auxiliary.

DLA - What a Weekend!
July 25, 2023
Friends and Neighbors
We had a GREAT weekend in the Park!
The Cardboard Regatta was an overwhelming success and drew a RECORD crowd as you can see from the pictures. And, once again, Cheeseburger in Paradise sold out!
Elvis in the Park was a blast. Even a rain shower could not dampen the spirit of the event. We simple picked up and moved inside the Hall.
Thank You to all the volunteers that made both events an overwhelming success!
Coming Soon to a Boat Launch Near You!

DLA - Monday Golf Cart Incident - July Monthly Board Meeting - Tonight 7:30pm
July 5, 2023
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope you and your family had a great holiday weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather and great activities in Assembly Park.
We wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred on Monday night in the Park and required our local Police and Fire Departments. The incident involved minors from neighboring communities who entered uninvited into Assembly Park and stole a golf cart from a resident’s property. While driving through the Park, the cart crashed, resulting in injuries to several of the individuals, requiring them to be transported to the local hospital to address their injuries. While it is our understanding that, thankfully, none of the injuries are life-threatening, some were significant.
I would like to extend my thanks to the many members of our community and Board members who responded to this situation, alerting emergency services and being present on the scene to assist. I would also like to extend my thanks to the excellent support and service provided by our local Police and Fire Departments. We will be following up with these departments, exploring potential orders of no-trespass for these individuals, guidance to minimize future such events, and to offer our thanks for their support. We will provide further updates, as they are available.
Again, my thanks for your support in keeping our community members safe!
Sincerely,
John A Glimco

DLA - Assembly Park Safety Reminders
July 3, 2023
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful 4th of July Weekend! July 1 was an incredible day, and it was so exciting to see so many of our younger members participating in the Bike Parade, and the Golf Carts were incredible! Thank you to the O’Brien family and all the volunteers that organized this great celebration!
The fun continued with Jeff and Kurt filling the park with music, and then a great fireworks display across the lake to conclude the night! A simply wonderful day!
With so many family members and guests visiting with us in Assembly Park, keeping all safe is first and foremost as we enjoy the celebrations. While the neighboring communities provided more than enough fireworks for all, we did not observe or have reports of fireworks in Assembly Park. Thank you and thanks in advance for your support for keeping our neighborhood safe – especially in these incredibly dry conditions.
One area we do need to improve is golf cart safety. We had several complaints of carts driving through the big Park by the playground equipment, and concerns regarding the speed some of the carts are being driven. At no time should a golf cart ever be driven in the Big Park near the playground equipment, regardless of the event. For special events, such as the religious service on July 4th, if approved by the Board, carts can park by the gazebo, yet can only enter/exit the area from the golf cart path by the beach. Again, golf carts should never be in any of the parks by the playground equipment regardless of the event being hosted in the Park.
The 10 mph rule applies for all motor vehicles on our roads. There are so many little children here this weekend – let’s make sure they are always safe, as well as all community members. Slow down and enjoy the beauty of our community, and drive with caution!
Thank you all once again for the care and support you provide your neighbors in Assembly Park!
Sincerely.

The July 4th weekend is here and there is a lot going on!
Please use extra caution when driving in the Park. The Park will be extremely crowded this weekend and there will be a lot of around. Please use extra caution when driving your vehicle or golf cart in the Park. Please encourage your teenage children to walk instead of using your golf cart during the holiday weekend. Thank You

To provide safe access for all to the event, Golf carts are permissible, however, they must enter the area from the street only by using the beach path and parking adjacent to the gazebo. At no point should carts be traveling through the park, especially by the playground equipment. Thank you.
Fireworks in the Park. Please remember we have a zero tolerance for Fireworks of any kind in Assembly Park: This is especially important this year as it has been an extremely dry spring and start to summer. As we approach the July 4th holiday, we want to remind everyone fireworks are strictly prohibited in the Park.

DLA 2023 Annual Election Results
June 25, 2023
Friends and Neighbors
Saturday afternoon the election committee (Dennis Coghlan, Julie Misner, Bob Pavich) met and finalized the DLA 2023 election results. Our accountant Kimberly Kemp produced the electronic ballot results document and sent it to the committee. The committee manually counted the 21 paper ballots and confirmed the final results which are attached here along with the electronic ballot results.
Summary Results:
The budget was approved by a vote of 123 to 23.
The three proposed by-law changes: Making the building height rule a by-law, Requiring that all board meetings be made available electronically and the change to the voting by-law to require the ability to vote electronically and to limit proxy voting to only achieve a quorum all failed to achieve the minimum 106 votes to pass.
All three incumbent director candidates were re-elected: Katie Bonk, Jorge Cordova and Greg Selep
Thank you to the almost 70% of you who voted to Kimberly Kemp and the election committee for their help.

DLA 4th of July Weekend - Important Messages
June 24, 2023
Friends and Neighbors:
It has been a wonderful start to summer, and the upcoming July 4 weekend promises to be a weekend not to be missed in Assembly Park!
We all know that Assembly Park is a wonderful community, with our great parks, waterfront, the beach, trees, and fun events. There is much that makes this a great place to be. Yet the heart of Assembly Park is the strength of our relationships with our neighbors and friends, and the care and respect afforded to all with concern for safety, health, and well-being.
Please help us to honor this great tradition of community pride and protection by adhering to these rules and making sure that all your guests and friends do so while in the Park. Please be good neighbors to all and assist with making sure others are doing the same.
Some important messages for the upcoming 4th of July holiday:
Fireworks in the Park. Please remember we have a zero tolerance for Fireworks of any kind in Assembly Park: This is especially important this year as it has been an extremely dry spring and start to summer. As we approach the July 4th holiday, we want to remind everyone fireworks are strictly prohibited in the Park. Please note that, in addition to the more obvious fireworks, this ban includes seemingly harmless sparklers, snakes and smoke bombs. The fine for violating the no fireworks rule is 2x the annual assessment ($2280) and there will be no warnings issued. You will be fined. If you have guests or renters using your property, please make sure they are aware of all the rules and regulations. Any penalty will be assessed to the leaseholder. Please help us keep the Park safe.

Golf Carts
We expect the Park to be very crowded the next two weekends. Please encourage your teenagers to walk the Park instead of taking the golf cart. If you are using a golf cart or letting a visitor use your golf cart, please make sure everyone is aware of:
Hours of operation: Carts may only be operated between the hours of 5:00 am and midnight.
Unless using your golf cart to go to your pier all carts must be driven on the roads or paved pathways. Carts may use the Beach Roadway but please be careful of the pedestrians.
Please do not leave or park your cart in any of the playground areas.
No Construction period:
We are entering the No Construction Period in the Park.
Please be aware that we have asked the Delavan police for additional patrols over the weekends. Please help us keep the Park safe.

As requested at the Annual Meeting. The Park does have an email address for the Board: dlaboard@assemblypark.net

We think it is important that every leaseholder has a voice in the direction of our community.
This year there are three potential changes to the by-laws. Please consider these changes carefully. A majority vote of all leaseholders (106) is required to pass a by-law change.
The election period will run from June 10 to June 23. Votes will be counted on June 24.

Those of you who will be voting electronically have received an email from:

Tree damage as a result of the recent ice storm
March 2, 2023
Friends and Neighbors,
As we advised in an earlier email we have had a significant amount of tree damage as a result of the recent ice storm.
As part of the cleanup effort we have discovered two large broken / hanging branches. We have taped off the two areas with red danger tape. One, is by the basketball court. The other is by pier 24. Please avoid these areas for your own safety
We have contacted Clint to start the cleanup of the debris on the street and to quote the removal of the broken trees. The cleanup we will do as soon as Clint is available, but the tree trimming will have to wait until the ground dries and we can bring in the appropriate equipment.
The Big Park Renovation – Use of Accrual Funds vote is still open. If you have not voted please look for an email from gselep618@comcast.net via SurveyMonkey
Thank You,

Special Meeting - Big Park Renovation
Monday, February 27, at 7:30 pm.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Well, it appears that old man winter has not left Assembly Park yet, but summer is just around the corner. Based on the most recent mailing from our Auxiliary, the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Delavan Lake Assembly is going to be one to remember!
Thank you once again for the positive proxy vote allowing us to hold the special meeting so we can discuss improving the Big Park for the summer celebrations and for years to come.
We will be holding a Special Meeting of the Leaseholders on Monday, February 27, at 7:30 pm. This meeting will be held via ZOOM, and the meeting link can be found in an email sent on February 23, 2023 at about 8:30 CST.
As a reminder, a Special Meeting is limited to a single item of discussion, and this will be the Big Park Renovation. Our Parks Committee will be presenting the first phase of targeted improvements for the Big Park, focusing on the landscaping and surfaces surrounding the playground and athletic areas. They are proposing to pay for this improvement by utilizing some of the accrued Parks budget. The use of the accrued funds requires a vote of the leaseholders. Therefor an electronic and paper ballot vote will be conducted following the Special Meeting.
Here is a link to the copy of the Parks Committee’s Special Meeting presentation in order to give you the opportunity to review the material in advance.
We are excited by this initial step to improve our Parks and look forward to future suggestions and support to continue improving one of the most valuable assets of Assembly Park!
And we are excited for the 125th Anniversary Celebrations!
We look forward to seeing you on February 27th online, and soon back at Assembly Park!

We will start collecting Silent Auction Items soon!
Lots of other activities have been planned for the Summer, and we will be reaching out for help with some of them. It takes a Village, or rather a Park, to ensure that a good time is had by all, so watch for Volunteer lists coming soon.
We have a beautiful 125th anniversary "Family Name" design for some of our Swag this year. (Look for a Pre-Order coming soon)
We are also holding a "Design Contest" for additional t-shirt designs. Be sure to send your entries to jeannie.lamarre@kw.com by March 15.

We will be taking pre-orders and will have the items available at the Annual meeting in June for pickup. (We will have a few for sale on that day, but pre-orders will guarantee size and color) Design winners will get a FREE shirt!
The Auxiliary will have poster boards available at the Annual meeting for anyone who would like to put together a collage of "throwback" photos. So, start digging out all those old beloved memories! Posters can be displayed in the hall for all to enjoy the memories on Labor Day through Arbor Day.
Here is a peek at the calendar of events. We may be adding more music in the Gazebo or Hall, and movie nights in the park. Watch for those dates to be added. The calendar is also posted on the Assembly Park website.
The Auxiliary is excited and looking forward to seeing our park friends soon, and a fun summer filled with friends, and making great memories.

Ice Storm
February 22nd, 2023
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Rob has informed us of an impending ice storm in Delavan (on 2/22/23). The schools have already been closed. If you are traveling to the lake please be advised to avoid using the Assembly Lane entrance.
Rob will pretreat it but once ice starts building up it will be hard, and dangerous, to get the truck down North Shore if the township hasn’t salted.
Everyone please be safe,
